Area bankruptcy filings rise in Aug., buck trend

BLADE STAFF Bankruptcy filings across northwest Ohio rose in August, reversing a four-month trend in which the number of cases had been declining from last year. Last month had 785 filings, up 6 percent from the same month last year for the 21 Ohio counties within the U.S.
